Score mini golf with a tap of the putter

PuttTap is the on-course scoring system for mini-golf. Each putter carries an NFC tag. Staff check groups in at the clubhouse. Golfers tap at every hole — on a touch kiosk or a weatherproof hole box — and the whole party shares one live card.

How a round works

From putter checkout to the last hole, every station writes the same clubhouse card.

01

Clubhouse check-in

Staff create a group, scan putters into it, and optionally name players. Broken putter? Swap the NFC tag without losing scores.

02

Tap at the hole

The golfer taps their putter to the reader. Indoor kiosks open a full scorecard. Hole boxes wake the e-ink card for that group.

03

Enter strokes

Touch pad on a kiosk, or minus / plus / check on the box. The save is that hole only. A dropped LAN queues the score and uploads it later.

04

Live group board

When everyone in the group has scored the hole, the group advances automatically. Running totals and the gallery leaderboard stay shared.

Four stations, one scorecard

The same clubhouse API powers the desk, the course, the gallery TV, and the outdoor boxes.

Designed for real courses

Centralized scoring, hardware that survives the fairway, and a stack you run on-site.

NFC putter identity

Each putter is a durable NFC tag. Golfers don’t type codes — they tap and play.

Indoor or outdoor holes

Capacitive 7-inch kiosks inside. Weatherproof hole boxes with buttons and e-ink outside.

Shared clubhouse API

FastAPI + PostgreSQL so every station sees the same groups, members, and scores.

Auto hole advance

When every active player has scored, the group’s current hole moves forward for the whole party.

Offline score queue

If the LAN drops, a hole save stays on the station and uploads when the clubhouse is reachable.

Putter swap & demo

Replace a broken shaft without wiping the card. Simulate Tap with IDs like TAG001 for sales demos.

Inside the app

Screens from the PuttTap kiosk client — golfer and clubhouse flows.

What you need on site

A practical kit for a 9- or 18-hole course — mix indoor kiosks and outdoor boxes.

  • One clubhouse station for check-in and group management

  • NFC tags affixed to putter grips or heads
  • Optional gallery TV for the daily leaderboard
  • Optional course par CSV for the card
  • Linux-friendly PCs, tablets, or Raspberry Pi-class boards
